The Mets are 3-0. They beat the defending World Champion St. Louis Cardinals by a combined scored of 20-2. All that after their worst-ever spring training performance.

The Mets move in to Citi Field in 2009. Just two short years from now. It's time to step up the fight for the Apple. It's time to Save The Apple. No more procrastinating.

And that brings me to our first point:
We are not stupid. Please do not treat us as such.
We are well aware that the pictures of Citi Field show an apple in the outfield.



But remember, our fight is not just for AN Apple, but The Apple. And those pictures are, at best, inconclusive. In fact, wouldn't it make sense for them to build a newer, flashier Apple to go with the new stadium?
But we don't want that. We want our Apple. The same Apple that's been there since 1980. The same Apple that's popped up for Daryl Strawberry, Keith Hernandez, Howard Johnson, Mike Piazza, David Wright, Carlos Beltran, and even Lastings Milledge.
