Making our case - Part 1: I'm a New Yorker. With that in mind, it should come as no surprise to anyone when I state the following fact: I mean no disrespect to Chicago or Chicagoans or even to the Midwest. It's just one of those facts of life. But in Chicago, when US Cellular Field was built, they decided to honor the old Comiskey Park by bringing along 7 of the 10 "scorboard exploding pinwheels" which set off fireworks after a home run... ::cough cough:: It was a way of bridging the gap between the old and the new ballparks and giving fans something they were familiar with while they got used to their new setting. Oh, and HOK Sport, the designers of Citi Field, designed US Cellular Field. Go figure.
