[The Apple is] ... one of the most electrifying home run displays in all of baseball!
2008 - The Year of the Apple:

Happy 2008 everyone. This is the year where the Apple will be saved or will not be saved. We've been trying to figure out ways to spread the word, and we will continue to tell everyone we can. We hope you're still telling people to check us out and Sign the petition.

We'll admit it right now: It has been hard to be as enthusiastic as we were after the late-season collapse of our beloved Metropolitans followed by the Mitchell. But you can expect us to really get the campaign moving again as the season starts to get in to gear.

We were recently contacted by Mark of SportsTalkNY, an streaming internet TV show and we are happy to announce that we are going to be calling in as guests on the show for their special February 13th show focusing on the last days of Shea and Yankee Stadiums. The special show will be 3 hours long from 8pm to 11pm and we will update you on what time we will be on once we hear more from Mark. In the meantime, check out his show every week. If you're a true fan, you can also send Mark a video of your favorite memories or first visit to Shea which will be featured on the show on the 13th.

We haven't been getting too many contest entries, so please check out the contests and enter them if you can.

And, I know it may seem like it's taking forever, but I promise you that we are working on being able to offer t-shirts again and as soon as we have that figured out, we will put the store back online.

Finally, I know I've been slacking with site updates. I have a ton of stuff from the Applefather that I need to put online, but non-Save The Apple things have been hectic for some time, as soon as I can, I will make those updates and any others that need to be made.

Thanks for visiting, keep spreading the word. Now more than ever, we need your help to Save The Apple!
